It’s unlikely that Peru is the first place you think of when thinking about studying abroad. at least somewhat unfairly. Naturally, the universities listed below have all received official accreditation and recognition from the Peruvian Ministry of Education. They also provide courses and programs that lead to officially recognized undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees in a variety of subject areas. These degrees from Peru can be certified and accepted elsewhere; the procedure varies according to local laws.
Two years of broad study and a few more years of specialization are required for undergraduate degrees. Studies at the master’s and doctorate levels also require about two years.

Universities in Peru Academic Calendar
There are two semesters in the academic year in Peru: a summer semester and a winter semester.

Admissions guidelines for Universities in Peru
The universities set their own admissions requirements. Procedures and specifications, therefore, differ.
With one exception: if the student attended a “preferred” school in Peru (i.e., a school that has a special agreement with the university), took a special preparation course, or was the best in his or her class, he or she can get around the university’s selective admission policy, which is based on entrance examinations.
The majority of students must then pass an exam after registering on the university website, paying a fee, and submitting certain documents (such as an ID copy, birth certificate, registration form, payment receipt, passport photos, and a school-leaving certificate when starting studies).

These tests differ from institution to university but often consist of multiple-choice questions that assess a student’s proficiency in the Spanish language, their ability to think mathematically and occasionally their understanding of the subject matter they have selected.
